Ashwood Park and Spring Gardens

Visitors who travel by car or coach along the A6 from Bakewell, will pass Ashwood Park on their right just as they enter Buxton itself.

The photograph shows the view of Spring Gardens, taken from within Ashwood Park. The large viaduct that spans the road in foreground of the image, was built by the London and North-Western Railway Company, and briefly carried rail traffic between Buxton and Ashbourne.
