Welcome
to Freshfields, a sanctuary for donkeys that is set on a farm, deep in
the lovely Peak District of Derbyshire, and near to the village of Peak
forest, about five miles north east of Buxton. Children and their
parents, can enjoy a wonderful day out in the company of these
beautiful animals who will also enjoy your visit, some are seen here on

The sanctuary is the home of the Michael Elliott Trust which was
founded in 1991. The trust has twin aims - to provide a permanent
caring home for rescued donkeys, and to cater for children who have
special needs, by organising holidays for them from between one and
seven days.
Please, do visit us soon!
There is no set charge for admission, but we do ask for a donation towards the work of the trust.
