 Entrance to Buxton House Hydropathic  The Eagle Hotel, formerly the Eagle and Child Inn  The Eagle Hotel Sign What may come as a surprise to people living in Buxton, is the fact that the original Eagle Hotel occupied the building that now houses Bryant's furniture shop. A photograph taken circa 1870 shows this to be the case. The overall architecture has changed very little apart from the large windows of Bryant's and those in the roof space.  The King's Head. It was once the manse to the Presbyterian Chapel built in 1725. The building has undergone considerable renovations over the years. |
