The Quadrant, part of the modern shopping experience that began its life during the Victorian era. Once covered by a magnificent wrought-iron and glass colonnade throughout, little of the original remains to help keep shoppers dry during wet weather.

Cavendish Arcade

The Colonnade itself forms a part of the grand building that is the Crescent, where behind in the old thermal baths, the visitor will find a modern shopping arena, the Cavendish Arcade.

Here, the shops are set within the building that once saw visitors seeking a cure for whatever ailed them. The tiled walls show many signs of art nouveau decoration, so enjoyed by the Victorians during this period in our history. .
