Claryx is rather secretive about her parents. She was very close to them and spent most of her childhood between Earth and Betazed, according to their personal assignments.
In 2367, while she was studying art in Paris (France), her parents (both scientists), were killed on their first week aboard the USS Saratoga during the Battle of Wolf 359, against the Borg. From this day, she decided that she would pursue a career in space.
Family Members : Father: Pierre Vahl (French - deceased) Mother: Xandra Lur (Betazoid - deceased) Siblings et al: She has an aunt and uncle running a hotel on Betazed. She cannot stand them, but they insist on visiting her occasionally.
Psychological Profile :
Starfleet was not her initial choice for a career, but over the years she has grown quite fond of this style of life, and admits that she would find life spent on a single planet rather boring.
Although she is from Human and Betazed origins, she doesn't particularly like these two worlds, and has made a point to avoid them as much as possible.
Even if she is partly human, her sense of empathy is well developed and she can communicate telepathically with strong telepaths.
She is generally quiet, but she can sometime surprise by her lack of diplomacy or her impatience when she thinks that a problem could be resolved quicker.
True to her Betazoid heritage, she dislikes aggressive behaviour and overbearing alien life forms. She has also a strong aversion against every form of tradition, which she considers at the best as a waste of time, and at the worse as an open door to create clashes among races.
