The Prallem feel that a former enemy of theirs (The Balannti) may be trying to come between them and the Federation. The DM's mission is to protect the trade ageement (involving Dilithium crystals) between the Prallem and the Federation.

The Prallem The Prallem are a humanoid race. Each of them is almost two metres in height with hairless pale olive scale-like skin, overall they are quite slim in stature. They are seen to walk with long graceful strides. Their strange single toned language has been implemented into the universal translator data banks for immediate usage. Appearances are almost clone-like in this race, which in turn makes it difficult for outsiders to differentiate between each person. These people are hermaphrodites. A friendly and very sociable race, the Prallem live on the planet known as Phorgenica. This is approximately 5 light years away from Starbase Dyerma IV, and situated in the isolated Zendic Star cluster. They have recently gained a successful trade agreement to supply the Federation with Dilithium Crystals. They are warp capable, but at present have less than small fleet of fifteen starships. The Prallem governing body stands in office over the entire planet, having regular meetings in the Council Chamber, a building located in the main city of Mercenia Tal. There are approximately three hundred cities scattered over four continents. The total Prallem population exceeds two-hundred millions. The planet, Phorgenica has a mainly oxygen/nitrogen atmosphere, with four vast continents formed from mainly volcanic activity with sedimentary rocks comprised of sand and mudstones, shales and limestone. Each continent is surrounded by many islands of varying sizes, and warm shallow seas, which are one hundred fathoms at their deepest. The landscapes include temperate woodland to tropical jungle, with some areas where volcanic activity has left it mostly barren, although there are no true deserts. The planet holds a rich and varied flora and fauna, having many poisonous species that could represent a threat to outsiders. There are two extensive polar ice caps that remain constant in size due to the stable upright nature of the planet's orbit around its sun. There are two small moons that are devoid of life and are without any form of atmosphere.

The Balannti A greedy violent warmongering humanoid race of over thirty millions, are from the planet Tyngal Rukai, which is situated a little more than 8 light years from Phorgenica in sector fifteen in the Khagin Star System. Tyngal Rukai, a mainly hot arid M class world, with natural sub- tropical oasis-type areas is where the inhabitants are known to live. The planet is deeply fissured and has numerous tectonic plates that are becoming more unstable as time passes. The Balannti are around one and a half metres in height, very muscular reddish skin that is usually covered with self-inflicted tattoo-like markings. The younger population have tired of warring against others and want to settle down, it is said, to colonize another world and make it their own, living peaceably. This is questionable.
