ON : Engage the Cloaking Device

Day: 4 Time:16.10 Scene: Klingon Ship - Pn'kHar

The Garann sisters (npc) appeared to be totally oblivious to the way theirbridge crew, as small as it was, were behaving towards Lt Cmdr Gol'Khar.Being a Klingon among many, Gol'Khar took his current position in hisstride and stood his ground against anyone who would so much as dare tochallenge his authority, while on the Pn'kHar.

For Shaldhar and Tamyeshi (npcs), it was as though their long harboured desires had suddenly come to fruition. But from their crew's standpoint, Gol'Khar was seen as blocking the way to their heart's desire, for they had long felt the pains that came from their natural desires, a situation that stemmed from working in close contact with two very attractive Klingon women.

As odd as the situation was, it was very much like a powder keg standing in the centre of a raging fire, something was going to blow atany moment. For now, they put all their efforts into locating thewhereabouts of Dodd's crew. Despite the lack of clues, Shaldhar came upwith a suggestion that no one, at least until now, had considered before.

"There is one side to this mystery that none of us has thought of before. Since we do not have Dodd's crew, and neither does the Dark Matter," She said as she looked directly at Gol'Khar's face, "then there is indeed one other possibility."

"What is that, sister?" Tamyeshi enquired, being not quite ready to believe that Shaldhar should know of something that she herself didn't.

"That p'tahk of a Ferengi Captain could well have taken them." Shaldhar announced.

"I thought as much." Tamyeshi replied, "When we first went aboard Dodd's ship, I was certain that I could smell the presence of the Ferengi, even if they weren't there when we actually boarded the ship." She said, spitting at the floor in revulsion.

Gol'Khar turned towards the sisters and said, "So, we find these Ferengi, and we find Dodd's crew?"

"You see sister, he has not lost any of his Klingon cunning after all." Tamyeshi commented.

Gol'Khar's face darkened as he growled from deep at the back of his throat. +Tap+ "Gol'Khar to the Captain." He called out.

+"Persson here, what can I do for you Cmdr?"+

"We are going in pursuit of the Ferengi ship and Daemon Drak (npc). We've come to the conclusion that in the absence of any other facts, theFerengi Captain seems the most likely suspect to have taken Dodd's crew."He explained.

+"I won't ask you why you think it maybe so, but in view of the situation, it seems like the best thing to do for now. We'll rendezvous at Dodd's ship later on. Good luck. Persson out."+Tap+

"See how quickly he runs to his master." One of the bridge crew chided from his position.

Gol'Khar accepted the challenge and back-handed the Ops officer withlittle or no effort at all. On the other hand, the one who had beenstruck, flew backwards across one of the main consoles and lay there wherehe fell for a few seconds, before eventually getting to his feet again. ."tammoH!!" Shaldhar shouted, raising her voice in anger at the Klingon'sinsult. "Delaq Do!"

The officer who had dared to voice his thoughts, became immediately silent and although he glared at Gol'Khar, he none the less went straight back to his station as ordered.

"Set a course for the last known coordinates of the Ferengi vessel, warp four." Shaldhar ordered her helmsman. "Gol'Khar, perhaps you would honour us by taking over at the science station?" She asked him while grinning with pleasure.

"Leave it to me, I will locate this p'tahk without any trouble. There is nowhere, even in this forsaken place, where he can hide from us." He promised, moving across to the vacant station and sitting down. His fingers moved with consummate ease over the brightly illuminated display, then he gazed into the scanner's optronic viewer, watching for the first signs of another ship, which wouldhopefully be the cursed Ferengi.

For a little more than an hour, they searched in vain the sector where the Ferengi ship was last seen. Then, just when he believed that the Ferengi had vanished altogether, a tiny blip was seen on the edge of his scanner's range. It was indeed the Ferengi Maraudder.

"We have him, two point five million kilometres, bearing 010 142." Gol'Khar called out from his position.

"Engage the cloaking device. Drak isn't going to escape our clutches thistime. We will soon have him in our brig." Shaldhar announced with a broadgrin of satisfaction.
