Buxton Shopping

Buxton is a wonderful place to do some shopping with lots of diverse and different shops littered throughout the streets. The town is very walkable and compact with shops altogether in some places and it has some stunning architecture going back through the decades, home to lots of boutique shops, which draw visitors from miles around.

Shopping in Buxton is vast and varied and centres around the shopping arcade built over the River and just off Spring Gardens. This is where 30 shops are undercover with car parking very close by. Big names such as Next, Marks & Spencer and Waitrose can offer everything for home and garden as well as stocking up for the weekly shop. Shops galore, bars and cafes are dotted around most of the town, offering respite for shopaholics. There are whole host of specialist designer boutiques and old favourites and there is also a vibrant mix of fashion, second-hand bookshops, antiques and craft shops which will provide so many places to buy presents for those special people in your life.

Even in the pouring rain there are lots of undercover shopping opportunities in Buxton and it's no wonder visitors come back time and time again once they have sample the delights of Buxton town. Higher Buxton is an independent village within the town centre bringing together around 80 independent shops, services and establishments which offer local produce and specialises in fine food. It also includes a diverse and interesting range of businesses, which includes galleries, bars and restaurants, cafes and shops.
